Bowen Technique
A Bowen session is performed through light clothing and is gentle, precise and non-invasive. For many individuals, Bowen therapy appears to facilitate the body’s natural repair and recovery processes. It supports the body in restoring balance, improving function, and promoting overall integration. Common responses include pain relief and improved energy levels, with many clients reporting a deeply relaxing experience.
Appointments typically last approximately 60 minutes. The effects of treatment may continue for several days as the body responds. For this reason, sessions are generally scheduled at weekly intervals. However, more frequent treatments may be appropriate in certain cases, such as re-injury, after surgery, pregnancy, palliative care, or neurological conditions, including post-stroke recovery.
A therapeutic response is usually observed within one to three sessions, and in most cases within four. Where additional sessions are required, treatment continues with the expectation of ongoing improvement. Clinical observations suggest that approximately 80% of clients experience significant improvement or complete resolution of their symptoms, making Bowen therapy a time- and cost-effective approach.
