Deep Tissue Massage
Deep tissue massage is a combination of deeper pressure and fascia release, pressure always adjusted where needed. This massage helps release muscular tension, ease stiffness, and improve overall mobility. It will benefit people with chronic muscular conductions or injuries.
It can also have a beautiful effect on the nervous system as it soothes the body into deep relaxation. It’s ideal for relieving stress, supporting recovery, and restoring balance in mind, body and soul.

What to expect
We will start with a consultation to get an overall sense of what’s going on in your mind and body. This gives your therapist hints and clues on what areas need more focus during the session. You can expect a dimly lit room with some calming music and incense burning in the background. Our therapist Mary Whelan prefers to use heated oil for her treatments which enhances circulation overall, blended with some lovely aromatherapy oils based on your specific needs and allergies etc. Mary will work on the front and back of your body, this includes a head massage to finish. she will offer feedback at the end about what she noticed during the treatment.
"I would highly recommend Mary for your massage treatment. She is extremely tuned in to her client’s needs thus seeing areas that need attention that they initially cannot. She also has developed and honed her ability to integrate the feedback she receives from her clients into a holistic plan and thus the massage session becomes a collaborative partnership between client and therapist."
