Indian Head, Neck & Shoulders Massage

Indian Head Massage is an ancient therapeutic practice that has been used in India for over 2,000 years. In the teachings of Ayurveda, there are what are called marma points, similar to acupressure points, located on the head, neck and shoulders.

When we are stressed, energy becomes stagnant in these points and can cause headaches, migraines, pain and tension in the neck and shoulders. We may even have trouble sleeping well. Our head can feel dull and heavy, our neck tight and stiff, and circulation may become sluggish.

Indian Head Massage soothes, relaxes and releases pain and tension in the scalp, neck, shoulders and face. It is a lovely standalone treatment and can also be added to any of Collette’s other therapies.

How it works

With flowing circular strokes on the neck, shoulders and scalp, tension begins to melt, and the muscles soften as they let go. Circulation and energy begin to flow more freely, leaving you feeling refreshed and lighter.

What to expect

You will be welcomed into a warm, dimly lit room with candles, relaxing aromas and soft music playing in the background. Your therapist will leave the room to allow you to undress and get comfortable under the sheet on the plinth.

Once you are settled, you may close your eyes and relax.
Collette will check in with you during the massage to make sure the pressure is just as you like it. These sessions are 60 minutes of pure bliss.
